there will definitely be a tool to color in lines (which you can see at the bottom right on the tools panel, currently grayed out), but actually editing lines I'm not sure will be possible. it's something that would require a separate editing mode; ie when in editing line mode all 'lines' would be black, all 'fill' area would be white, and all 'empty background' would be grey. otherwise, it would be very easy to mess up on what part is transparent etc if the player is not careful.
then one should consider, how much of the lines should be allowed to be changed, to keep the style consistent within the game? 10-30% of the total pixel count within the base? it would need to be fairly expensive, to keep line edits rare enough.
also, allowing line edits would interfere with plans for breeding and dressup. how rare should it be for line edits to pass down? what about breeding between two line edited petz? how can premade clothez work if we can't predict where the lines go? do clothez need to be drag-and-droppable instead of click-to-dress?
a lot of things to consider... I'd love to if possible, because I know it'd make for some really cool petz!

Quick question on the topic of lines, though. Will black, like the lines, ever be an available color to draw with? Unless it's already available, which in that case I'm not sure which palette it's in...

Currently, I think making pets is limited to a selected group of testers who are picked from the game's email list.

this is just the support forum for the actual game, which is still in beta testing stage. we're accepting new testers for a limited time, so do check your email (spambox maybe?) for the invite!
