Have you read any good books lately? Let’s chat a bit about it!!

Tell us a bit about some of the latest books you’ve read!! Obviously keep it PG and try to reserve descriptions to a single post or two..

But who knows, maybe the books you share could turn out to be somebody’s new favourite!! Comics, novels and all sorts of written storytelling mediums are allowed!!

I’ll start, by saying I’ve been recently reading Yugioh’s manga, and while I’m still super early in(chapter 5)...-

But the basic jist that I’ve gotten is that Yugi(our main character) is bounded to a dangerous artifact, and under certain circumstances(That revolve around his wish he made to the artifact, about protecting his friends..) he will enter a trancelike state under the influence of this artifact and will challenge wrongdoers to play “Shadow Games”. They’re fairly easy and fair, though if any side does wrong against their opponent, they’ll get a penalty, and face an unescapable challenge that peers deep into their psyche...

It’s very good so far! I probably got things wrong but I’ve been enjoying it!! :D

I read a book called '' Word Of Mouse '' it's about a family of mice who escape a Mouse Lab, the Runt, Isaiah gets lost and has an epic journey to rescue the rest of his family, kinda similar to '' Rats of Nym '', Another book I read that I enjoyed is called '' Dog Man: Lord of the fleas'' it's a silly comic book at first I wasn't really interested in comics but when I read my first Dog Man Book, I enjoyed it, try them out!

Btw Word of Mouse has some really sad parts, and I an animal lover and mouse labs are cruel : (

oh you might like Flowers for Algernon! It also has to do with a lab mouse, with some really sad parts. Lord of the Fleas sounds hilarious, I might look it up.

I've been reading Boku No Hero Academia, which is awesome, the main character is such a freaking lovable good guy. :'D Yugioh was a fun show, I used to watch it on TV a lonnng time ago.

I've been reading a book called "Strange the Dreamer". It's about a boy named Lazlo who's interested in this lost city called Weep, and a hero called Godslayer appears and gives him the chance to explore it. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm liking it so far! (And no spoilers please)

Hmm I might check out Flowers for Algernon, Im also reading a book called "Crenshaw" it's about a boy and his family going throught tough times, and the boy's imaginary friend from years ago appears once again. It's sad , mysterious and pretty interesting.

I enjoy the puppy place series, and at school we use a website called "Epic!" And it reads books to you, to find it look up "Getepic.com"

I am a HUGE Warrior Cats fan, and I'm reading A Vision of Shadows #6: The Raging Storm at the moment. It's the newest book and I  just got it yesterday!

Does anyone else here read Warrior Cats?

i have!! i haven't read in a couple of years though, i had to stop at omen of the stars cuz i never had the funds to buy em!! x_x i finally found some of em at a thrift store recently though, and i wanna pick 'em up and start reading them again!


also, i second flowers for algernon! it was a really interesting read, actually, i liked it quite a bit..!! i wanna read all these books you guys are suggesting haha!! wish i had some time :P
